Established in 1976, Boddingtons is a leading manufacturer and converter of specialised thermoplastic films, meshes and nets. Based in Maldon, England, Boddingtons manufacture an extensive range of thermoplastic mesh and grid products for grass and ground reinforcement applications. At Boddingtons we are committed to ensuring that our manufacturing processes and waste materials have a minimal impact on the environment. We strive to ensure that we manufacture in the most efficient way, using energy in the least wasteful way whilst optimising production. The waste polymer from our mesh extrusion lines is recycled by our in-house regrinding machines and reused. Any polymer extrusion that cannot be reground and reused in-house is sent away for reprocessing at specialised plastic recycling centres in the UK. This policy ensures that the majority of our waste is recycled. All the company’s thermoplastic extruded mesh and film finished products are 100% recyclable. The polymers used in their manufacture are chemically inert and therefore will cause no contamination when buried in the soil or exposed to water. Where possible, Boddingtons recycles all cardboard and paper from the offices and factory. The company also tries to ensure that packaging materials are kept to a minimum.
