BodMat for a flexible matting surface

BodMat™ flexible plastic mesh surface matting is supplied on a roll and has been developed using the proven oscillated design of Boddingtons' GrassProtecta® grass reinforcement mesh structure. This mesh structure design increases slip resistance and the soft flexible elastomeric polymer blend behaves similar to rubber matting further increasing slip resistance. BodMat™ is easily installed onto outside surfaces by pinning in place, or for indoor areas by simple surface laying. BodMat™ is available in roll form and can be used in a multitude of applications - wherever a cushioned 'grip' surface that allows grass to grow through is required:

Childrens play areas on grass
Horse boxes and stable areas
Wheelchair access paths on grass
Lawns and gardens
Walkways and access paths
Equestrian event surfaces

Developed specifically for both animal and people traffic, the product can be cut to shape by the end-user to fit horseboxes, walkways, animal boarding areas and much more. As with GrassProtecta® the mesh can be installed onto existing grassed surfaces as the grass will grow through the mesh apertures thus creating a softer reinforced stabilised grass surface ideal for playground areas as the product has been tested to a 1.8m CFH (Critical Fall Height). This makes the mesh suitable to be used on grass play areas to reinforce the grass and protect the impact of falls (climbing frames, see-saws, roundabouts, multi-play equipment, climbing activity centres, toddler slides and toddler swings etc).

Wherever a water pervious, enhanced-grip walkway access or a grass play area is required, Boddingtons BodMat™ product is the solution.

Fixing Pins and Pegs

Steel U-Pins or plastic pegs should be used to secure TurfProtecta® to the ground. Please download the design specification for details on the recommended amount of pins per roll.
