Advancements in turf growing technology means that designers of green spaces now have the opportunity to create bold and distinctive designs which go beyond the traditional lawn. With Turfcarpet™, natural grass can now be used to create living shapes and sculptures whilst also stabilising the face of steep slopes and embankments.

Turfcarpet™ is a mature soil-less turfgrass growing in a biodegradable felt which is specifically designed to retain moisture, give high strength and provide great flexibility.

The resulting “living carpet” is extremely pliable and ideal for covering mounds, steep slopes and embankments, where it can be sculpted to create exciting contoured grass features.

The biodegradable felt in which the grass grows, is manufactured from recycled British made textiles which also acts as a weed barrier and retains moisture to aid rapid establishment.

Turfcarpet™ is suitable for temporary or permanent use both indoors and outdoors and is supplied in large rolls resulting in minimal visible joints. Root growth from the actively growing turf is rapid into the soil below, providing immediate stability, particularly useful where soil erosion could be a problem.

TurfCarpet™ is ideal for temporary use, being soil-less, as it can be rolled out like a carpet for an instant effect and then removed leaving no mess behind.

Large quantities can be grown to order. This will take six to eight weeks (longer in the winter).
